NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) International, established in 1944, is an independent, non-for-profit organization (not unlike UL) that provides conformance testing services to government agencies, consumers and manufacturers. NSF/ANSI Standard 51 - Food Equipment Materials

•  Dealing with food display equipment (refrigerated and non-refrigerated), salad bars and buffet tables, and food mixing / preparation housings.

NSF/ANSI Standard 61 - Drinking Water System Components

•  Dealing with valves, fittings, tanks and pipe used for potable (drinking) water.
