FORD ESB-M2P120-A

PAINT PERFORMANCE – NON-VISIBLE CORROSION RESISTANT, EPOXY POWDER COATINGS

Scope: This specification defines the performance requirements for thermosetting epoxy powder coatings as applied to unprimed steel. The powder coating shall provide excellent corrosion resistance properties for non-visible applications.

FORD ESB-M2P29

PAINT PERFORMANCE, FUNCTIONAL EXTERIOR PARTS – MODERATE DUTY

Scope: These specifications define the quality of a painted finish required for partially visible or non-visible exterior surfaces of automotive parts. Two levels of quality are defined as follows: ESB-M2P29: For parts which are subject to less severe weathering, corrosion or functional requirements. ESB-M2P30: For parts which are primarily hidden but which require moderate weather corrosion resistance.

FORD ESB-M2P29-B

PAINT PERFORMANCE, FUNCTIONAL EXTERIOR PARTS – MODERATE DUTY ***TO BE USED WITH FORD WSS-M99P1111-A***

Scope: These specifications define the performance of a painted finish required for partially visible or non-visible exterior surfaces of automotive parts. Three levels of quality are defined as follows:

ESB-M2P28: for parts which are primarily visible and are subject to severe weathering, corrosion or are required to be functional over a long period of time.

ESB-M2P29: for parts which are subject to less severe weathering, corrosion or functional requirements.

ESB-M2P30: corrosion resistance.

FORD ESB-M2P30-A

PAINT PERFORMANCE, FUNCTIONAL EXTERIOR PARTS – LIGHT DUTY

Scope: These specifications define the quality of a painted finish required for partially visible or non-visible exterior surfaces of automotive parts. Two levels of quality are defined as follows: ESB-M2P29: For parts which are subject to less severe weathering, corrosion or functional requirements. ESB-M2P30: For parts which are primarily hidden but which require moderate weather corrosion resistance.

FORD ESB-M2P30-B

PAINT PERFORMANCE, FUNCTIONAL EXTERIOR PARTS – LIGHT DUTY ***TO BE USED WITH FORD WSS-M99P1111-A***

FORD WSK-M2P152-A2

PAINT PERFORMANCE, LOW LEVEL VISIBLE, 120 H SALT SPRAY, EXTERIOR

Scope: These specifications define the performance requirements for a paint or powder coat system with adequate appearance and durability for metal parts in exterior low or non visible areas.

WSK-M2P152-A1 For parts requiring light corrosion resistance, or functional requirements.

WSK-M2P152-A2 For parts requiring moderate corrosion resistance, or functional requirements.

WSK-M2P152-A3 For parts requiring severe corrosion resistance, or long-time functional requirements.

WSK-M2P152-A4 For parts requiring extra severe corrosion resistance, or extra long-time functional requirements.

FORD ESB-M2P117-A

PAINT, STEEL, SURFACE CLEANLINESS – EXTERIOR

Scope: This specification establishes the minimum surface cleanliness of steel surfaces, relative to carbon deposits, required to insure adequate paint adhesion in a corrosive environment

FORD ESB-M3P2-A

PHOSPHATE COATING, IRON, LIGHT ***TO BE USED WITH FORD WSS-M99P1111-A***

Scope: This specification defines the performance requirements of a light iron phosphate coating for automotive parts which are subsequently painted.

FORD WSK-M3P1-C

PHOSPHATE COATING, ZINC ***TO BE USED WITH FORD WSS-M99P1111-A***

Scope: This specification defines the performance requirements of a zinc phosphate coating on automotive parts which are subsequently painted.

FORD WSS-M10P12-A1

PRETREATMENT, ALUMINUM ***TO BE USED WITH FORD WSS-M99P1111-A***

Scope: This specification defines the requirements for pretreatment coatings intended to enhance or promote adhesive bond durability, welding or other performance characteristics. The pretreatment may be used on wrought and cast aluminum; raw materials, components and fasteners.

The pretreatment coatings shall be specified in conjunction with the appropriate base aluminum specification.
